Now that the Porsche Macan has fully embraced the world, it’s time for tuners to have their way with the German crossover. The latest example of this comes from TechArt, which is willing to make Macan S Diesel owners happy with a 300 hp power kit.
The Macan S Diesel’s 3-liter V6, receives a noticeable output bump of 42
hp and 90 Nm (lb-ft). The unit now delivers 300 hp between 3,300 and
3,700 rpm, while the peak torque sits at 670 Nm (lb-ft), which are
offered between 2,400 and 3,100 Nm.
The Macan S Diesel already showed respectable performance, playing the 0
to 100 km/h (62 mph) game in 6.1 seconds, but now the SUV can handle
the task 0.3 seconds quicker. Techart also released the 0 to 160 km/h
(99 mph) sprint time, with the crossover requiring 15.7 seconds in order
to complete this.
Perhaps this is not the best comparison, but you should know that a
Porsche 911 Carrera 2, the entry-level model with a manual gearbox needs
10.4 seconds for this sprint.
As for the top speed of the Macan S Diesel, this has gone up 7 km/h (4 mph) and now sits at 237 km/h (147 mph).
Techart had already released interior and exterior bits for the Macan
The German aftermarket developer had already given us various touches
for the exterior and the interior of the Macan. For instance, you have
the Aero Kit I, which can include a carbon fiber front apron, among
others.
As for the cabin of the Macan, Techart offers a great degree of
personalization and the car we see showcased here appears to sport a
color that reminds us of Porsche’s Acid Green.
