Techart Porsche 911 Targa Makes Essen 2014 a Green Show

Techart Porsche 911 Targa Makes Essen 2014 a Green Show [Live Photos]Techart has always had a special thing for the 911 Targa, so it was only natural to come across their incarnation of this retro-styled Zuffenhausen machine while walking on Essen ground earlier today. The Targa is also the kind of car that looks even more mouth watering in crazy colors, so Techart covered theirs in a hue that somehow reminds us of Porsche’s Acid Green.

The German tuning house’s transformation targets the exterior, the cabin, as well as the road connection of the 911 Targa.

Improving the appearance of such a machine is not exactly an easy task, so, its usual style, the aftermarket developer kept things tastefully restrained with its aerodynamic package. This consists of a two-part front apron that includes a splitter, upright aerowings in the front air intakes, headlight surrounds, as well as door mirror covers and side skirts that don’t stray too far from the line of the stock elements.

The 911 has always been about its rear, so Techart has brought the most changes here, namely a spoiler and a diffuser. As expected from the German tuner, the package has been heavily tested in the wind tunnel and seriously increases downforce.

Beneath the skin

When it comes to the chassis, the Techart Porsche 911 Targa features a set of lowering springs, as well as 21-inch wheels. Techart has a greater offer in terms of suspension, covering both PASM and non-PASM models, but the company doesn’t mention the Targa specifically when talking about this, so we don’t know if the products for this model are available yet.

Porsche cabins are already top notch, but Techart likes to rival the carmaker’s Exclusive division, brigning its hand-made work under the spotlights. To get an idea of just how dedicated the German tuner is to its interior works, we’ll mention that once the leather and the trim are handled, Techart even changes the logo on the steering wheel.

As a sweet reminder, we’ll mention the fact that Techart built a Targa conversion for the 997.2 911 Carbriolet. While it didn’t pack the clever folding mechanism of the 991 Targa, it looked almost identical.
