Liberty Walk Nissan GT-R “Darth Vader”

Liberty Walk Nissan GT R Vader 0 600x408 at Liberty Walk Nissan GT R “Darth Vader”
Straight Outta Japan comes yet another awesome Liberty Walk Nissan GT-R, this time a fully blacked-out example nicknamed Darth Vader. And when we say blacked-out, we do mean it. Except for the lights, the rest of the car is as dark as a black hole.
The Darth Vader GT-R features a toned-down version of the LB-Performance styling kit with no custom sills and a ducktail rear spoiler. There is still the adjustable front splitter and rear diffuser inside custom bumpers. And of course, the signature bolt-on wide fenders are there as well, although the black paint job sort of obscures the visible bolding apparatus.
Other highlights of Liberty Walk Nissan GT-R Darth Vader include a set of extra wide wheels and tires and the obligatory Airrex air suspension system without which the whole thing would look rather weird. This one also features a full Armytrix exhaust system complete with valve control system and remote control via smartphone app, hence all those phones in the pictures.
This beast is one of the coolest looking Liberty Walk GT-Rs we’ve seen, and we have seen a fair few of them. It makes the real Godzilla look like a chicken!

Liberty Walk Is Gearing-Up An Audi R8 For SEMA

Although arriving a bit late at the “exaggerated fender" party, the 1st-gen Audi R8 looks uncanny in Liberty Walk’s wide-body guise.
By using freedom of expression as a fairly good excuse (or argument), Liberty Walk manages to apply its bold style on various supercars, without being heavily criticized. Granted, most of the automobiles bearing the Japanese tuner’s signature look stellar, but some purists may disagree with its approach.
While beefed up fenders and a lowered ride may do wonders on some cars, the style doesn’t necessarily favor high-end exotics, especially as it’s conceived (in this case) as a visual-enhancement only. But does it really matter when the final product looks as good as this R8?
Well, to be fair, the wider track makes the German supercar appear ultra-aggressive, but the bolt-on fenders aren’t in sync with the R8’s formal, high-tech design. Usually, an aftermarket body-kit complements the original style cues, but in this case, the back fenders cover a small portion of the carbon fiber side vents – which means that holes had to be drilled in them.
On the other hand, the thing looks quite cool and, at the end of the day, it remains a matter of taste. So, if you have an Audi R8 lying around and like Liberty Walk’s work, then you should know the tuner charges $21,620 to “butcher” your mid-engine V8 supercar with carbon-fiber-reinforced-plastic bits. Mind you, a visually-enhanced V10 R8 costs a little more ($23,220), and the styling kit includes a front apron, side skirts, a rear diffuser, a rear wing and wide fenders.
But we will probably see more of the car at SEMA, where Liberty Walk will showcase it. As usual, the result will look stunning for the next few months, before we’ll get bored of it.

Custom Wheels & Exhaust Find Their Way On Previous-Gen Merc C63 AMG

The W204 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG still is an extremely competent super-saloon thanks to its naturally aspirated V8 power unit. This one though, is probably insanely loud as well.
Sure, the V8 in the old C63 AMG had a great soundtrack, which the Innotech Performance exhaust system should naturally improve upon.
In terms of speed, the W204 C63 packed 457 PS and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque, which helped it get from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.5 seconds. Clearly quicker than the E90 M3 back in the day.
It was also appreciated for its aggressive looks, something the current AMG-powered C-Class has toned down in favor of a more elegant form. This car also rides on a set of beautifully crafted Satin Bronze Vossen VFS2 wheels (thankfully not gold), which kind of... work with the light blue exterior.

Smart Montenapo By Aznom Is A ForTwo With Italian Flair

Italy is traditionally the biggest market worldwide for the Smart ForTwo, so it’s only natural that Daimler’s smallest car attracts interest from local tuners.
Italian custom shop Aznom has recently revealed the Smart Montenapo, which is essentially a latest-generation ForTwo that combines luxurious interior materials inspired by the world of fashion with a classy exterior.
Monza-based Aznom (nice one, just read backwards...) has given the customized Smart ForTwo a 3M wrap in a Titanium Satin hue for the doors, bumpers and front fenders, in contrast with the Anthracite Grey wrap of the Tridion Safety Cell. The bodywork also features silver Montenapo lettering.
But the biggest changes were made inside, where Aznom ditched the original upholstery for full-grain natural leather combined with Ermenegildo Zegna cloth center seat sections inspired by the fashion house’s Prince of Wales collection. The same material dresses the touchscreen display and can be found on the gear lever, door panels and instrument panel as well.
The Smart Montenapo by Aznom has a surprise in the trunk in the form of a hidden customized case that contains a bottle of Bollinger Special Cuvee Champagne and two glasses. And to top it off, the aftermarket specialist offers each car with a travel bag made of the same materials used in the interior.
Nothing is changed from a technical point of view, with the Montenapo being based on the 71PS version of the ForTwo equipped with the optional six-speed Twinamic dual-clutch transmission.
The car is sold exclusively by Magni & Carnevale Motors in Milan.

Techart Grand GT Panamera with Chameleon Paint Job

Techart Grand GT Panamera 0 600x361 at Techart Grand GT Panamera with Chameleon Paint Job
Thought we were done with purple cars? No way. This color is so in right now, we can’t get away from it. This Techart Grand GT, based on Porsche Panamera Turbo S Executive, is not purple though. It features a chameleon color that changes between blue and purple depending on the light.
The paint work makes this Techart Grand GT Panamera special on many levels. Being an Executive model, the car naturally started out very special, and then the tuner fitted it with their unique Grand GT styling kit. This Panamera is also a Turbo S, boasting the range topping engine for which Techart also offers a power kit. Long story short, this car is most likely the ultimate, finest, sickest Panamera in the world.
The styling package on Techart Grand GT Panamera consists of bespoke bumpers and bonnet, front and rear spoilers, side skirts, side vents, and rear diffuser. It is complemented with a set of Techart Formula wheels, finished in this case in the same chameleon color as the exterior. The power kit the tuner offers for the Turbo S engine is good for an additional 130 hp on top, slashing the 0 to 100 time to 3.6 seconds and increasing the top speed to 326 km/h.
