When
Toyota and Subaru launched the GT86/BRZ sports car two years ago, a lot
of people scoffed at the recipe they’d come up with as way too simple
and uninteresting. But actually, they’ve been quite clever. They offered
the fans something highly customizable, at a reasonable price.
This way everybody can tailor the car
based on his or her specific needs and desires. Of course, that may lead
to some pretty atrocious tuning jobs. But if you draw inspiration from
the works of well-known tuners such as SR Auto Group, you can end up
with a cracking car. Speaking of which, here’s a fully tricked-out
example.
This SR Auto Subaru BRZ features original
STi body components including front lip, side skirts, rear valence,
giving the car a cooler kind of look than standard, but nothing
particularly showy. The wheels too are aftermarket, Volk TE37SL model,
in size 18×9-inch and finished in gloss white.
Performance-wise, SR Auto Subaru BRZ does
not get an engine treatment, but it does come with a Frequency
Intelligent valvetronic exhaust system. The chassis is upgraded with BC
Racing BR Type coilovers and SPC rear control arms, making the handling
more precise and predictable.
