We have already seen what Mcchip-DKR guys are capable of doing to the BMW M4
using only a few lines of codes. They recently had another go at it,
with this absolutely beautiful black M4. Again, with software
modification alone they have bumped the power by almost 100 horsepower.
The standard 3.0 liter straight-six
twin-turbo engine in the BMW M3/M4 generated a very healthy 430
horsepower and 550Nm of torque. After the ECU remap, which as you can
see in the pictures is not as easy as it may sound since you need to
take off a lot of components to get to that little box of tricks,
Mcchip-DKR BMW M4 makes 524 horsepower and 687 Nm of torque.
Those figures are dyno-verified, but DKR
never does any performance test. So we don’t know what kind of effect
the extra oomph will have on the acceleration and top speed of the M4.
Mcchip-DKR BMW M4 is also equipped with
the M Performance aero kit. It consists of a front spoiler lip, side
skirts, and tail spoiler, but since they are made from carbon fiber,
they look subtler than one would want them to. Still, this is one
hot-looking car!
