In 2016, a new Land Rover Defender will be launched. Before that happens, tuning firm Urban Truck has revealed its selection of upgrades for the capable British offroader.
For starters, Urban Truck has installed a 6.2-litre V8 sourced from GM and available in a selection of different tunes. What this means is that the base model delivers a total of 430 hp but that can be increased to 500 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque. Power from the potent V8 is then sent via a six-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels.
Beyond the engine modifications, Urban Truck has also installed the Land Rover Defender with a set of dampers from Bilstein complete with sport springs. Additionally, an anti-roll bar kit has been installed alongside a stainless steel exhaust system, painted brake calipers and a set of 18-inch wheels wrapped in rubber from Yokohama.
Completing the upgrades from Urban Truck include an Alpine SatNav system, heated Recaro seats finished in Nappa leather and a Momo steering wheel.
