After presenting the Flying
Huntsman earlier today, we now return with another off-road-ready ride
made by Kahn Design’s Chelsea Truck Co. subsidiary. If the 550 HP Defender-based Flying Huntsman is too much for you, then the 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sahara tune job featured below might be more to your liking.
Starting from the JK generation Wrangler, engineers and designers enhanced the Black Hawk Special Edition with the full Chelsea Truck Co. treatment. With prices starting from £39,875 (which translates to €50,875 or $60,300), what we’re dealing with here is £10k more than the base UK-spec Sahara.
Offered in either CJ300 2.8-liter turbo diesel or CJ400 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 format, as well as in both 2 and 4-door configurations, Kahn’s 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Black Hawk package adds a lot of luxury and off-road-ready bits and bobs. Starting with a set of 17-inch satin black Jeep 1941 wheels and a set of Cooper Discoverer S/T all terrain rubber, the list of enhancements goes on and on and on. Let’s not beat around the bush and go through all of them:
Exterior Components
- 4-slot Front Grille in Matt Pearl Grey
- Front Grille Industrial Mesh
- Shadow Chrome Headlamps
- Tron Front Fog Lights
- Horizontal LED Running Lights.
- Chelsea Truck Company branded spare wheel cover
- Fuel Filler Cap in Satin Black
- Set of 4 Mud Flaps (Toughened Rubber)
Performance Upgrades
- Quad Crosshair Exhaust System with 100mm Tailpipes in Stainless Steel
Jeep Wrangler Sahara Black Hawk Detailing and Finishing
- Hard Top in Body Colour
- Side Wing Blades in Satin Black
- Piano Black Dashboard Centre Console
- Painted Brake Calipers (choice of colours)
Interior Components
- Front and rear GTB Sports Seats trimmed in Artico
- Door Entry Sill Plates in Stainless Steel
- Vented Foot Pedals in Machined Aluminium
- Floor Mats in Toughened Rubber
CJ Vehicle Branding
- Interior - Kahn Investing In British Industry Logo
- Exterior - Kahn Enamel Wing Shields
- Exterior - Kahn Enamel Tailgate Logo
After reading these lines and finding out how much stuff you get for roughly £10,000 over the basic 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 2-door diesel, the extra starts to really make sense. Furthermore, consider that a mere 49 units will ever be made, making the Black Hawk highly sought-after. Now this is what transforming a rugged 4x4 American bruiser into a stylish and luxurious urban explorer is all about.
