Torque bumped to 820 Nm
The Nissan GT-R has received a significant makeover from
Prior Design after the tuner installed a wide body kit.
Godzilla is on its way to a well-deserved retirement as an
all-new model is in the works, but that hasn't stopped Prior Design for
refreshing the mighty GT-R (R35) by installing the "PD750WB" wide body
conversion. It encompasses a wide array of aftermarket parts starting at the
front where there's a new bumper with bigger intakes and a lip spoiler while
the side profile shows custom skirts and the tuner's 21-inch lightweight alloy
wheel set.
The back of the GT-R now hosts a three-piece diffuser with
vertical fins and at an additional cost Prior Design will provide an
eight-piece wheel arch extension package manufactured from carbon fiber.
Matching the menacing appearance is a bump in output of the
3.8-liter V6 twin-turbo engine to 720 bhp (573 kW) and 605 lb-ft (820 Nm),
representing a huge power hike compared to the GT-R
Nismo rated at 600 bhp (447 kW) and 481 lb-ft (651 Nm). On top of that,
Prior Design is providing a 200-cell free-flow catalytic convertor with flap
control, along with an adjustable KW Variant 3 coil-over suspension kit.
