Mansory's Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe Is A Beast Even With Less Power

Have you ever taken a step back to look at the Mansory S63 AMG Coupe Diamond Edition, thinking it has too much power? Well then, we have some news for you…
Mansory finally thought that 972hp (985PS) is a little too overwhelming for a daily luxury cruiser, so the high-end tuner now offers smaller-scale performance optimization packages for the S Coupe: The M720 and M900.
Don’t worry, these packages don’t actually deliver 720 and 900PS, as the name suggests, because these values are calculated in metric horsepower figures. Instead, they boast around 709 and 887 BHP and we can all agree that’s more manageable. Bravo for offering clients a chance of survival, Mansory.
The power was extracted from the 5.5-litre biturbo V8, which delivers around 577-horses in stock form. Output figures are impressive, but they are nothing compared to the torque numbers these kits offer. For instance, the M900 package produces an electronically-limited 1,300 Nm of torque, while the M700 “starter pack” settles at 1,100Nm. That’s more than a Bugatti Veyron; it’s more than a Tesla P85D; it’s more even than a V12 6.0-litre Audi Diesel engine.
So, with these kind of power enhancements, you might think the car reaches a million kilometers per hour, but it doesn’t. In fact, it’s electronically-limited to 300 Km/h (186mph). it makes you wonder if Germans have a thing for electronically-limited stuff, but they’re actually protecting the monster from itself. You know the cliché: “With great power…"
Exterior-wise, the car feels a little restraint for Mansory’s standards. It doesn’t try to be humble, not by a long-shot, but it does require a second glance to set it apart from the original. Where’s the abundance of carbon fiber and striking colors? Come on, Mansory, we know what you're capable of...
