Bringing 29% improved performance
The aftermarket specialists from LARTE Design have announced
they are working on a 900 PS Tesla Model S P85D.
The tuner's Californian division will be upgrading the
high-powered electric sedan which will be based on Model
S Elizabeta that debut earlier this month at Top Marques Monaco. Without
going into any details, LARTE mentions output is going to be boosted by 200 PS (147
kW) to a grand total of 900 PS (662 kW). They say energy consumption will not
increase as a result of the added power while performance is set to benefit from a major 29% hike.
Aside from gaining more electric muscle, the Tesla Model S P85D will
also feature custom front and rear bumpers manufactured from basalt fibers. It
will also incorporate carbon elements on the wheel arches, side skirts, rear
diffuser insert and on the trunk lid to shave off weight even further.
On top of that, LARTE will sell an "unusual sound module to
acoustically replicate the car's enormous acceleration." The customer will have
the possibility of loading various sounds which will be emitted through the car's
speakers when hitting the accelerator pedal.
