Based on the Insignia OPC Sports Tourer
Irmscher has introduced the new Insignia is3 Bandit.Currently on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Bandit is based on the Insignia OPC Sport Tourer and was created in cooperation with a dealer in Köstner.
On the styling front, the wagon has been equipped with a sporty body kit that includes front spoiler, side skirts and a rear diffuser. The model also has a tailgate-mounted spoiler and 20-inch Turbo Star alloy wheels.
Under the hood, the 2.8-liter V6 engine has been equipped with an upgraded turbocharger, a revised intake and an improved cooling system. Thanks to these modifications, the engine develops 370 PS (279 kW) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque. This enables the wagon to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds.
The Insignia is3 Bandit will go on sale later this year and be offered as a complete vehicle as well as an aftermarket tuning package.
