Up by 90 HP
Brabus has released full details and an image gallery of
their latest gem, a 600 HP monster based on the Mercedes-AMG
C63 S Sedan.
Those who just can't wait for a full-blown Black Series
version of the C63 should give Brabus a call as they have upgraded the C63 S
all the way up to 600 HP (441 kW) at 5,800 rpm and 800 Nm (591 lb-ft) at 1,750 -
4,500 rpm which represents a healthy power boost of 90 HP (66 kW) and 100 Nm
(74 lb-ft) of torque.
It shouldn't come as a surprise the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h)
sprint time has decreased by 0.2s to just 3.8 seconds while top speed has
jumped to an impressive 186 mph (300 km/h), up from the
electronically-restricted 155 mph (250 km/h) of the standard model. This power upgrade is also available
for the wagon but due to its slightly higher weight it needs an extra 0.1s for
the sprint.
Aside from infusing more power, Brabus has also installed
their stainless steel exhaust system with controlled butterfly valve to enable
sound management via a switch mounted inside the cabin. The subtle body kit has
been aerodynamically optimized in the wind tunnel and is made from clear-coated
carbon with either a matte or a glossy finish. The high-performance compact sedan from Mercedes-AMG has
been pampered with the tuner's 20-inch Monoblock T wheels shod in 255/30 ZR20
front and 275/35 ZR20 rear tires available from Continental, Pirelli and
Yokohama.
