Supercharged off-road performance.
The Ford SVT Raptor was easily one of the baddest trucks on the market when it was first introduced. It could beat the snot out of any kind of terrain and was more than happy to take names in the process. Unfortunately, with the newest-generation of all-aluminum bodied Ford F-150 will not have a Raptor variant for 2015, so Hennessey Performance is picking up the slack with the new 2015 VelociRaptor 600 Supercharged.
“We’ve built over four-hundred VelociRaptor 600 Supercharged Ford trucks over the past four years,” said John Hennessey. “We are simply picking up where we left off with our 2015 VelociRaptor. Having Ford’s world-class new truck design, with a weight savings of nearly 700 pounds, our VelociRaptor 600 Supercharged will have an even greater level of performance and driving excitement!”
The new 2015 Hennessey VelociRaptor 600 Supercharged has all the good stuff that you’ll need to beat the piss out of dirt, mud, snow, or whatever decides to sit in your path. The big 5.0-liter V-8 gains a new Roots-type supercharger spinning up 8 PSI of boost pressure. Feeding the supercharger is a new high-flow air induction system while a stainless steel exhaust system optimizes backpressure and emits a baritone sound. Upgraded fuel injectors are controlled by a new Hennessey proprietary engine management calibration and it all results in an output that exceeds the 600 horsepower mark.
“The 2015 VelociRaptor 600 will offer the best of both worlds for our clients,” says Hennessey partner, Don Goldman. ”Many of our VelociRaptor owners use their trucks to drive to work or to take the kids to school. However, when the going gets tough, the VelociRaptor is highly capable in inclement weather and off-road conditions.”
It’s not all about power with the 2015 Hennessey VelociRaptor 600 Supercharged. New 33-inch BFGoodrich tires mounted on 17-inch Hennessey wheels are more than capable of handling themselves in all kinds of terrain. Optionally, customers can order a coil-over suspension, new bumpers, a front-mounted winch, LED light bards, Brembo brakes, and other accessories to make conquering off-road trails a supercharged breeze.
Only 500 units of the 2015 Hennesssey VelociRaptor 600 Supercharged will be produced with the 2015 Ford F-150. Pricing for the conversion starts at $73,500 including the F-150 Super Crew 5.0-liter V-8 that it is based upon. Customers will be able to order the conversion through nationwide Ford dealerships or Autonation’s 37 Ford dealerships in the US. Owners of the Ecoboost-powered 2015 F-150 will also have a VelociRaptor package available in the future.
