Does your husband love his
Porsche Cayenne? Of course he does, but he's probably feeling a little
sorry for himself after the Stuttgart people stuffed so much tech into
the 2015 model year mid-life facelift. To cheer him up a little, why not
order him some car parts, which are probably the only thing us blokes
actually want from Santa.
Tuning a Porsche Cayenne is not an easy task by any means, but the Canadians at SR Auto Group were provided with a great starting block for this project, the mighty Turbo S flagship. They decided to keep things classy and combined some very interesting parts.
Fist off, Mansory were tasked with the body kit. The Germans have a special set of carbon fiber bits that fit the Cayenne perfectly and including front bumper, front lip spoiler, carbon fiber side skirts, carbon rear spoiler and a rear hatch panel.
Carbon is a very light material, but we doubt the Cayenne experienced any weight loss because the panels were added where none existed in the first place. This stuff is just for show, but every working morning is probably a little brighter when you get to stroke some cool carbon panels before stepping into your SUV.
According to SR Auto, the styling kit works perfectly with a set of ADV1 5.0 Track Spec CS series alloy wheels, sized 22×10.5 inch at the front and 22×12 inch for the rear. The standard output was not changed, but considering the 4.8-liter twin-turbo V8 of this car puts down 550 horsepower, that isn't really a problem. What was a problem, apparently, is the exhaust system, which has been swapped for a IPE Valvetronic Exhaust System, producing a sportier sound and letting the- engine breath a little better.
"Our collaborations with DXSC have always proven to result in great outcomes, and this is no different. Their intention was to create a unique Porsche Cayenne that did not overstep the boundaries of class. To do such a thing, we enlisted the help of Mansory. Utilizing their brand new exterior package for the Cayenne, we began brainstorming our wheel options. Coming into the picture was a set of twenty two inch ADV1 5.0 TS CS which was finished with a matte black face and gloss man bronze step lip," SR Auto says about its recently completed project.
