The British branch of Carlex Design,
one of Europe’s finest car interior specialist, has come up with a
special treatment for the VW T5 van. What they’ve done is lavish the
same care and attention they normally lavish on a Bentley or an S-Class
on a Volkswagen van!
And the end result is quite spectacular.
Judging by the exterior, this VW T5 is a show car. But that doesn’t take
away from the magnificence of Carlex’s effort to liven up the interior.
The seats are covered with the finest leather known to man and
garnished with contrast green stitching to match the exterior and
diamond patterns. The steering wheel meanwhile is wrapped in Alcantara, as is most of the dashboard.
The headliner too is wrapped in suede and
spiced up with lights and speakers. It is not Carlex’s style to leave a
visible surface untouched, so the floors and the walls are also treated
a nice coat of exotic material. Other notable details include leather
door cards and green safety belts, plus green decorative stitching on
the dash and around the instrument bezels.
This VW T5 is no doubt the best in the
world in terms of interior panache. The only trouble is, this is a
hugely costly treatment not really in the reach of an ordinary van man.
