The Porsche Macan S Diesel Shows its Claws with Hamann

Hamann Motorsport Porsche Macan S Diesel
Torquey crossover terror.
After the success of the Cayenne, Porsche expanded its model range with the goal of increasing sales and generating more money with the Macan. The luxury compact crossover SUV is arguably the most athletic and sportiest in the class, and the team at Hamann Motorsport has turned it up considerably at the Geneva International Motor Show.
Hamann used the inspiration for the SUV’s name – the Indonesian word for tiger – as the guideline for their Macan upgrade program. The crossover becomes more of a predator on the road thanks to increased power, a more athletic chassis, and imposing aerodynamics.
Right off the bat, the show car at Geneva steals looks with its bright powder blue and orange color scheme paired with more athletic aerodynamics. The Hamann Macan S Diesel wears a new front apron with a lower visual appearance and horizontal lines that emphasize width, especially with the daytime running lights and grille. The apron seamlessly integrates into the new front and rear wheel arches that extend outwards by 12 mm and feature air intakes and vents. A set of side skirts connect the beefed up wheel arches.

At the rear, the Hamann Porsche Macan S Diesel hints at the increased power by the SUV. A new roof spoiler and elongated tailgate spoiler help to generate a bit of downforce while a new rear apron integrates the rear wheel arches and new exhaust outlets. The quad exhaust outlets also incorporate a new “active sound” adjustable V-8 hissing note that is controlled by actuators and speakers for a more unique presence.
The more aggressive appearance is complemented by a new set of Hamann Anniversary EVO wheels and suspension springs. The SUV rides lower thanks to the new sport springs that sharpen up handling and reduce the overall center of gravity. Filling in the extended wheel arches are gloss black Anniversary EVO wheels with powder blue lips in a 10.5J x 22 setup at the front and rear with 295/30 ZR22 Vredestein UltracVorti tires that pack tons of grip.
Under the skin of the Hamann Porsche Macan S Diesel is a tuned turbodiesel V-6 engine. The 3.0-liter engine was tuned to 300 horsepower at 4,200 RPM and 494 lb-ft. of torque at 2,500 RPM. It’s not earth-shattering, but it makes for a more engaging driving experience. Models with the optional Sport Chrono package take just 5.7 seconds to reach 62 mph from rest after the tune.

The interior of the Porsche Macan S Diesel can be outfitted with all sorts of upgrades from Hamann Motorsport. New leather and stitching paired up with new trim pieces and other accessories can be installed at the wish of customers.
The new Hamann Motorsport Porsche Macan S Diesel showcases all of the upgrades that are available for the German SUV. Hamann offers the upgrades as a complete package, individual accessories, and complete vehicles.
