Packing
500 or so horsepower these days is no reason to boast… unless the car
packing it is a small hatchback. That’s what MR Racing Audi RS3 is, a
little pocket rocket with a massive 535 horsepower. It looks the part,
too.
The standard RS3 is no slouch, either.
The car comes out of the factory with a more than adequate 367
horsepower from a 2.5 liter twin turbocharged five-cylinder engine. What
MR Racing found out, though, was that through the use of stainless
steel sport exhaust system and messing around with the software in the
engine computer they could easily upgrade that output to 448 horsepower
with 653 Nm of torque.
Then somebody said what if we also
replaced the standard turbo with a TTE 500 unit? And that’s how MR
Racing Audi RS3 ended up with 535 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque.
To keep the little hatchback in check in
spite of the serious punch it packs, the tuner has fitted the RS3 with
LW Adjustable Clubsport 3-way coilover system as well as 19 inch ATS GTR
alloy wheels wrapped with high-performance 235/35 tires. It would be a
pity if MR Racing Audi RS3 was to look stock, now that it has all the
power in the world. So the tuner went ahead and wrapped the car in a
pseudo-Martini livery and painted its wheels red. As a final touch, MR
Racing equipped their Audi with a multi media system featuring DVD and
navigation.
