A few days ago Bentley released a new version of its Continental GT Speed
with a special Black Edition which was a seriously awesome car. But if
you own the old one you don’t necessarily have to upgrade. This Edo
Bentley Speed GT we have here is proof that there is still plenty of
life left in the old one.
And when we say old, this car is the
pre-facelift version, so it’s really old. Despite that, Edo Bentley
Speed GT – we love the simplified name, by the way – still looks fresh,
and thanks to the visual mods Edo Competition has applied to the car, it
also looks quite athletic and sporty. And the best part is, this
version of the Conti GT can be bought these days for peanuts, but it
still looks like a million dollars. Nobody cares that it’s an old model.
People will see you as a Bentley owner, and that’s all that matters.
Edo Competition, as some of you may
know, is always more interested in substance rather than the looks. So
Edo Bentley Speed GT has also received a pretty decent performance
upgrade, making the already fast car even quicker. In a sense, then, Edo
has put the speed back in the Speed. The W12 Bi-Turbo motor in this
massive car is tuned to 680 horsepower and 880 Nm of peak torque, the
direct result of which is a drop in 0 to 100 km/h sprint (4.2 seconds)
as well as to 200 km/h (13 seconds) and an increase of top speed (more
than 340 km/h).
