CHROMETEC
GmbH, a German firm who, as its name suggests, specializes in carbon
fiber parts, has just released a bunch of aero/styling parts for the
Mercedes AMG GT. The parts look fairly understated on their own, but put
together they give CHROMETEC Mercedes AMG GT a cool and sporty look.
The package CHROMETEC Mercedes AMG GT you
are seeing here boasts includes a front grille replacement, a large
front spoiler complete with air intake surrounds, side fin set, and rear
diffuser insert. The tuner also offers the AMG GT S Edition 1 wing
flaps and rear wing for normal models, hand crafted from top-notch
carbon fiber.
What CHROMETEC is offering here is a nice
and simple way of upgrading the looks of your AMG GT. As far as we can
see, there is only one problem with this proposition: cost. You see, it
would have been a no brainer if the entire package was something like
two thousand euro. But no, it’s a lot more than that. That front grille
alone runs for 750.00 euro, the front spoiler set with side flaps
2,400.00 euro, the tiny side fins 850.00 euro, rear diffuser 1,890.00
euro, carbon mirror caps 900.00 euro, and the Edition 1 wing 990.00
euro.
It really isn’t worth it, given the end
result. But then carbon fiber is an expensive material and that’s really
what you are paying for.
