Progressive Autosports is a wide body expert with a pretty good taste in design We enjoyed their work on the Corvette Stingray very much. But this Mercedes G63 which is one of their latest creations is just so wrong on so many different levels.
The body kit installed on Progressive
Autosports Mercedes G63 looks like a mishmash of part from various
sources and although they match together pretty good, the end result is
rather unsightly and of unfortunate proportions. Who though that
ridiculous face would work on a G63, and who came up with the naked
carbon bonnet idea?
The rest of Progressive Autosports
Mercedes G63 does not fare much better, either. All the new components
added to the big G just make it fatter and more ungainly, and that is
obviously not a good look.
Rather than discouraging this
misdeed, the guys from Vellano Wheels supplied the project with a set of
22-inch VM31 rims which are frankly the ghastliest wheels we have ever
seen.
So no, Progressive Autosports Mercedes
G63 is not the tuner’s finest hour. No wonder then they hope to sell it
in places like Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Qatar, or Texas. I mean those are the
places with the greatest number of showoffs who would like this thing!
