Mansory is not the only tuner bringing an extra wide Mercedes AMG GT
to this year’s Geneva Motor Show. That car is going to face strong
competition from this bad boy, FAB Design Mercedes AMG GT “Areion”. This
will look great on the show floor next to FAB G-Class Shahin.
FAB Design Mercedes AMG GT takes a
different approach to a wider look than what Mansory has to offer. This
one has a more athletic look to it which we find a lot cooler. It is
still mighty impressive to look at, but it’s also sporty and elegant and
doesn’t get carried away with the whole wide body thing.
The Areion package consists of a new
front spoiler lip, side skirts, rear diffuser and a large rear wing, in
addition to the custom wings on the front (complete with side vents) and
wide fenders at the back. The hugely buffed up arches are connected by
the new sill and filled with a set of 3-piece Evolution III wheels in
sizes 20-inch up front and 21-inch out back.
A cool feature of FAB Design Mercedes AMG
GT is the four fat tailpipes integrated into the carbon diffuser. They
are connected to a sport exhaust system which is part of an engine
upgrade kit that also include modified turbos, ECU remap and new intakes
for a boost to 700 horsepower and over a thousand Newton meter of
torque.
