Even though there is an all-new Mercedes Maybach
available for you to buy today, the original, which was actually a
financial disaster for the company, still looks more impressive, sort of
more authoritative. The ultimate version of this generation of the
luxury limo is the Maybach 62 S and it has been the subject of an
upgrade program by Japanese tuner Office-K.
In many ways the Maybach 62 S is the
perfect car for OFK to work on. Just like the tuner, the car has some
eccentricities that some people find cool and interesting while others
shun as vulgar and revolting. Just look at the wheels they have put on
this Maybach. Not even Flavor Flav would approve of them for this car.
Speaking of the wheels, they are Forgiato
NIDDO-M 22-inch rims with a special finish that complements the pearl
white paint job the Maybach has been treat to. The car needed a respray
because of the custom body kit Office-K has installed on it – a body kit
that, again, is not really suitable for the character of the car.
Other highlights of Office-K Maybach 62 S
include updated 2010 model door mirrors, lowered suspension (although
why would you want to lower a car designed to deliver a plush and
comfortable ride is beyond us), and custom headlights.
