Land Cruiser 200 Gets GMG88 Widebody Kit and Forgiato Wheels

The Toyota Land Cruiser 200, which is sort of like big boy of the model range, may not have the same sort of cult following among football players as the Range Rover and BMW X5. However, it's proven itself in far more difficult conditions and is extremely popular in the Middle East, where people actually do need a 4x4 that can go anywhere, not just pretend to be tough.

This has to be one of the most interesting attempts at tuning such a serious vehicle we've ever seen. It comes from Japan, where quite a few companies came together to build it.

First of all, the wheels come from Forgiato Japan who were able to install the familiar F2.16-ECL design with a much loner lip because the Land Cruiser had been fitted with a widebody kit.

That part comes courtesy of GMG88, an auto firm from Nagoya that specializes in Toyota SUVs. The kit is called both the "Eight Star" and the "Double Eight" for some reason and brings a look similar to the Black Bison from Walk. There are larger air intakes for the front bumper, a strip of vertical LEDs, double fog lights, flares for the fenders, skirts and inserts for the doors.

Around the back, the Japanese SUV gets quad exhaust pipes, which you can listen to in the video below, an integrated diffuser, boot lid spoiler and touch-ups for the taillights.
