Eddie Huang creates a custom Scion iA for SEMA

Eddie Huang creates a custom Scion iA for SEMA

Scion and “Fresh Off The Boat" writer Eddie Huang have unveiled a customized iA.
Designed to embrace "L.A. culture," the one-off model is being billed as a modern take on the classic lowrider.  It features a metallic yellow paint job, gold wire wheels and a mural of a “human panda" on the hood.  The model also has a gold-plated grille, shaved door handles and whitewall tires.
The unique styling continues in the cabin as there's a chain-link steering wheel, ultra-suede accents and Corbeau GTS II swivel front seats with Alcantara inserts.  The car also features a Bamboo shifter, ultra-suede floor mats and a gold plated “Human Panda” plaque in the rear window.  There's also a Pioneer audio system with a DEH-80PRS receiver, three amplifiers and four subwoofers that are mounted in a custom enclosure between the rear seats.
Since the model favors style or substance, mechanical changes are fairly limited include a reinforced chassis, a beefier rear axle and a chrome-plated billet double A-Arm front suspension. The model also has a dual-stage air bag system with independent wheel control that allows for side to side, front to back and 3-wheel motion.
