BMW 330d gets tuned M550d engine from BBM Motorsport with 850 Nm

BMW 330d gets tuned M550d engine from BBM Motorsport with 850 Nm

BBM Motorsport has introduced a comprehensive upgrade package for the BMW 330d Touring LCI (E91).
It’s no longer called this way as the tuner renamed the car “350D 3T” to better reflect its new heart, a tri-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel motor. It's available in several models such as the M550d and the X5 & X6 M50d duo where it churns 381 PS (280 kW) and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) output. However, for this application it has been massaged to deliver 440 PS (323 kW) and 850 Nm (628 lb-ft).
With so much diesel punch under its hood, it’s no wonder the BMW 350D 3T by BBM Motorsport will run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in just 4.9 seconds (down by 1.2s). A more impressive performance hike is noticeable in the 62-120 mph (100-200 km/h) run now achieved in 9.8 seconds (down by 7.5s). As a result of the added oomph, the top speed has increased as well from the series 155 mph (250 km/h) to 184 mph (296 km/h).
The tuning package is more than just an engine transplant as the 350D 3T also has M3 E92-sourced front & rear axles and StopTech brakes. Moreover, it rides on the tuner’s 19-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires and has received a custom exhaust with active sound system. Rounding off the exterior changes is the blue metallic body wrap while on the inside it has Recaro seats, M3 E92-sourced speedometer and a BMW Performance steering wheel dressed in Alcantara.
