Following the launch of the pickup version of the Flying Huntsman,
Kahn Design now presents the next step in the Huntsman evolution, the
Flying Huntsman Pickup 6×6. Arguably the coolest of the Huntsman lot,
the 6×6 pickup is aimed squarely and unequivocally at the Mercedes G63
6×6.
As for which one of these six-wheeled monsters you should buy, it is too soon to tell because Flying
Huntsman Pickup 6×6 is still a concept for the time being, and even
when it gets produced, they won’t be releasing more than 20 units per
year. So on exclusivity alone, the British 6×6 wins the battle.
Flying Huntsman Pickup 6×6 is going to
need that victory because in terms of technicalities it really doesn’t
hold a candle to the German opposition. Whereas the G63 6×6 boasts a
weapons-grade V8 engine with 580 horsepower, the Defender comes with a
2.2 liter diesel mated to a 6-speed manual or a 4-speed auto.
Even though the pickup is the
cheapest 6×6 member of the Flying Huntsman family, it still costs
£99,875 which is a lot. But it’s so fantastically cool, you just don’t
care. That is, if you have a 100 grand to spend on what is, in essence, a
toy.
