Italian tuner Garage Italia Customs is on a roll these days. Recently they were tapped by BMW Italia to work with them on a special BMW i8 project, and now they have teamed up with Mazda Italia and created the Mazda MX-5 Levanto one-off.
This car is designed, apparently, to put
in perspective the joys of driving a simple and honest sports car like
the MX-5 on a lovely summer afternoon. So the paint job on Mazda MX-5
Levanto “incorporates the colors of the long summer sunsets with a
bright orange tone that fades in indigo height of the waistline.” It’s
not something you want to be seen in around your neighborhood, but
pretty dope for a show car.
The best part of Mazda MX-5 Levanto, and
one that could actually become a popular aftermarket treatment, is a
full Denim interior. You find the material on the seats, dashboard,
steering wheel, and door cards, complemented with more brightly colored
nautical Alcantara and red stitching throughout. As with the standard
MX-5, the top of the doors are painted in the same two-tone finish as
the exterior.
As mentioned, Mazda MX-5 Levanto is a
one-off, but we’re fairly certain Garage Italia Customs would do a
similar thing to your car if you turn up with your checkbook in hand.
