Can’t wait for the new BMW M2
to be released? No problem. You can have a compact Bimmer right now
that not only looks like the M2, but makes even more power. Meet G-Power
BMW M235i, a little red hot pepper by the German tuner for those who
believe good things come in small packages.
Granted, with the G-Power BMW M235i you
won’t get the M2’s super cool aero kit and, well, the M2 badge. But the
Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power module the tuner has installed on this car’s
straight-six engine, combined with the free-flow air filters and
high-grade sports catalysts, has boosted the output from 26 PS (240 kW)
and 450 Nm to 380 PS (280 kW) and 530 Nm. That is considerably more than
the 365 horsepower you get from the M2.
Performance-wise, G-Power BMW M235i
accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and, if you opt for the
removal of the top speed limiter, it can reach 300 km/h.
If you are looking for visual upgrades,
well, this time G-Power has not even bothered bolting on a set of their
Hurricane wheels on this car. So the best course of action would be to
get your power upgrade here, and then visit another tuning shop like
Hamann for a nice and sporty aero kit. Not that there’s anything wrong
with the looks of the M235i, but people like tuning their cars usually
go all the way.
