European
tuner Carlex Design has come up with an interior package for the
Ferrari 458 Spider which takes the company’s own Tailor-Made division to
school. The cabin of this open-top Fezza looks like that of a fancy
concept you see at motor shows, and it complements the black exterior
perfectly.
The ingredients of Carlex’s treatment are
nothing extraordinary. They use the same leathers and Alcantara other
tuners have access to. The genius of these guys is in the designs they
come up with, and the good taste they have in combining contrasting
colors and garnishing them with wonderful little details. You see that
logo on the steering wheel? They’ve hand painted that. That’s how much
they care about their work.
The main highlights of Carlex Design
Ferrari 458 Spider include re-upholstered seats in red leather with
black Alcantara centers in a unique design, two-tone leather and suede
door cars, dashboard, and consoles with contrast stitching, satin black
painted decorative elements, and a custom steering wheel with leather
rim, Alcantara center, and as mentioned, a bespoke logo. Finishing off
the cabin is a set of leather floor mats sitting on top of suede
carpets.
