562-hp Range Rover by Mcchip-DKR

German chip tuning expert Mcchip-DKR released details of their stage 2 upgrade program for the Range Rover Vogue models. The kit is tailored for the 5.0 liter Supercharged V8 engine, so theoretically it could also be used for the RR Sport and also various Jaguar models.

That brilliant engine which incidentally have a raspy soundtrack too produces in standard from a pretty impressive 510 horsepower and 625 Nm of torque. Mcchip changes a few parameters in the engine’s electronic brain and installs a high-performance supercharger pulley, and those figures shoot up to 562 horsepower and 713 Nm of maximum torque.
This treatment also eliminates the top speed limiter in the Range Rover’s brain and allows the driver, providing he or she has the necessary courage, to achieve 265 km/h flat out. The significant increase in torque should have a positive impact on the acceleration as well.
So if you want a fast Range Rover but the company’s own Sport SVR doesn’t float your boat, this car is a good alternative. Range Rover is said to be focusing from here on out on more off-road capable models, so there probably won’t be a new speedy version on the agenda anytime soon.
