Based on the V250 CDI
German tuner VATH has decided to spice up the Mercedes-Benz
V-Class by developing a minor aftermarket package.
The V-Class is not exactly what we would call tuning
material, but nevertheless the guys from VATH have worked on a V250 CDI version
and applied their chip tuning know-how to boost output to 225 PS (165 kW) and 500
Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque, up from the series 190 PS & 440 Nm. The
additional oomph can be had for €1,011.50 while for an extra €566.20 you can
add a set of lowering springs which bring the people carrier closer to the road
by 25 mm.
VATH has also developed a set of side running boards (€629) to
ease access inside the cabin along with a custom set of 20-inch alloy wheels
wrapped around in 265/30 R20 tires available as a full set for €2,975.
