Brabus G500 XXL Pickup Truck Is Very Large, Wide and Cool
You never know what you might find
if you search the "for sale" section of the biggest Mercedes-Benz tuner
in the world. Shock is a good way to describe what we felt when we saw
Brabus has a tuned version of the super-rare XXL pickup truck.
The machine is as black as the night and features an older version of
the famous Widestar body kit. That means wide fenders, an angular front
bumper with large intakes and a flat grille without the Mercedes logo.
It also comes with a vented hood, which unless we're mistaken is a much
newer component.
G-Class fans will also notice a multitude of LED lights, updated mirrors
with carbon cases and the latest taillights. Even parking sensors have
been installed, which considering the size of the beast is an excellent
idea. We also like the 23-inch Brabus Monoblock F ligh alloy wheels with
gloss black spokes.
The base car used to be a G500 “Lang” (Long) Pickup Truck from 2012.
However, the engine has been completely re-engineered, now displacing
6,096cc of V8 awesomeness, enough for 400 naturally aspirated
horsepower.
The interior is quite special, which isn't a surprise for any Brabus
fan. It's covered in cognac leather with black accent stitching. The
quilted pattern used on the seats has found its way to the door cards
and even the floor. Finer details include aluminum pedals and Brabus
entrance panels for all four doors.
There are some areas where the truck shows its age, but the Brabus 6.1 Widestar is as rare as hen's teeth, so we can't complain.
When new, this machine retailed for €244,000, but today it can be yours for just €98,000. That's cheap for something that looks like the G63 AMG 6x6.
