RACE! South Africa is an absolute authority in exotic car tuning in that part of the world. We have shown of some of their finest works
before, now lest’s check out the latest high-end project they have
pulled off. It is a heavily tricked-out Liberty Walk Nissan GT-R, the
first in South Africa, and equipped with a whole host of extras.
When you are dealing with a Liberty Walk Nissan GT-R
the job is fitting the wide body kit alone is humongous enough to
exhaust all the resources of a tuner. For RACE! though, it seems to have
been a walk in the park, because after they were through with the body,
they set about upgrading the car’s chassis and performance.
The wide body kit on the Liberty Walk
Nissan GT-R obviously required some serious chassis modifications, chief
among which were the installation of an Airrex air suspension system
and a set of ultra-wide Forgiato wheels. Next up was the engine tuning,
for which RACE! turned to HKS and one of their 1,000-hp turbo packages,
plus a custom exhaust system from Armytrix. High-performance Toyot tires
and even higher-performance Brembo brakes were added to the mix in
order to keep this beast in check.
The styling treatment meanwhile includes
the signature LB-Performance wide fenders with exposed bolt apparatus,
sport vented bonnet, custom front and rear bumpers, and new side skirts.
For this car the tuner chose the ducktail rear spoiler rather than the
GT3-style wing.
