Of course you want it. Fortunately it's for sale.
Chances are you’ve seen this particular Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera before (or one very similar). It’s not a stock 2008 Gallardo Superleggera and that’s just fine. Thanks to Dallas Performance, it’s been upgraded to 1,800 hp, and it’s for sale for right now with an asking price of $229,995. Like the title clearly states, that’s Bugatti power for Porsche 911 Turbo money. Oh, and it has a six-speed manual. The performance upgrades come courtesy of a Dallas Performance Race Spec 2 twin-turbo system bolted to the 5.0-liter V10.
Essentially, the entire guts of the Gallardo have been thoroughly reworked and upgraded. Aside from the custom one-off Elite Camo wrap job, the Gallardo came from the Lamborghini in Arancio Borealis (orange) over Nero Alcantara. Dallas Performance, based in Dallas, Texas (where else?) claims this is the fastest twin turbo Gallardo in existence. We believe them. The gearing, for example, was originally setup for the Texas mile/standing mile (meaning for over 280 mph) but it’s since received a shorter gear set to make it easier for regular driving (it’s still geared for 240 mph, fortunately).
The V10, interestingly, is actually a brand new factory unit recently purchased and installed, meaning it’s only been driven 5,000 miles. More than $375,000 in upgrades has reportedly been invested here, and yet it can all be yours for $230k. That’s a bargain that’ll allow you to confidently challenge Chiron and 911 Turbo S owners.
