Mansory Gives The Bentley Mulsanne Some Extra Muscle

But it’s still slower than a Bentley Mulsanne Speed, somehow.
Mansory’s extravagant customization jobs can divide opinions, but its latest creation is surprisingly restrained. After souping up the Bentley Bentayga, the tuner has now given the mighty Mulsanne some extra muscle. The exterior has been enhanced with naked carbon fiber details such as a new front bumper lip spoiler and fog lamps surround. Elsewhere, the luxury limo has been fitted with carbon-fiber side skirts, a subtle trunk lid spoiler, a rear bumper diffuser, and a set of massive 22-inch light forged wheels with “ultra-high performance” 285/35Z tires for both axles.

Of course, the upgrades continue under the hood. Mansory has managed to massage the Mulsanne’s 6.75-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine to produce 585 horsepower at 4,000 rpm compared to the 512 hp the standard car offers. Combined with an obscene 811 lb-ft of torque at 2,300 rpm, the Mansory-tuned Mulsanne will sprint from 0-62 mph in just five seconds. Top speed has also been bumped from 184 mph to 190 mph. For a luxury limo that weighs 2.6 tons, that’s mightily impressive. Having said that, Bentley’s own Mulsanne Speed can achieve the same top speed and sprint to 62 mph point one of a second faster.

A marginal difference, granted, but you would expect an aftermarket tuned car to surpass anything the original manufacturer can offer. No photos of the interior options have been supplied, but Mansory says that customers can customize the cabin with a bespoke mix of brushed aluminum, bare carbon fiber, and burled or high-gloss piano surfaces. These details can be ordered in any color to “perfectly complement the leather on the dashboard and seats.”

This Supercharged Lamborghini Aventador SV Has Nearly 1000-HP

Excessive, much?
With its sublime 750-hp V12 engine, the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster is an extreme supercar.
If, however, it still leaves you wanting more, respected tuner Novitec Torado has the answer. The solution? A supercharger that cranks the power output up to an eye-popping 970 hp, putting the Roadster in the same league as the LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder hypercar holy trinity. And we thought the 775 horses Novitec squeezed out of the Lamborghini Aventador SV coupe was excessive.

No performance stats were given, but such excess power must surely improve the Roadster’s 2.9 second 0-62 mph sprint time and top speed. Of course, Novitec didn’t stop there. The tuner has enhanced the mid-engined supercar’s already-aggressive exterior with custom carbon fiber components, tweaked the suspension, and added new custom wheels to make it look even more striking. Fitting a Lamborghini with a supercharger may seem sacrilegious, but extracting nearly 1,000-hp is a lot harder in a naturally aspirated engine. Still, combining the whine of a supercharger with Lamborghini’s screaming V12 engine must sound absolutely sublime.

Lamborghini only built 500 examples of the Aventador Roadster SV which makes it even rarer than the 600 Avendator SV coupes that left the factory. Adding Novitec’s new tuning package will only make it more exclusive.

You Can Now Buy A Porsche 911 GT3 RS With A Manual Gearbox

Porsche isn’t offering the GT3 RS with a manual transmission – but this tuner is.
Porsche answered the prayers of enthusiasts everywhere when the new 911 GT3 was rolled out with a manual gearbox – particularly as it was considerably cheaper than the limited 911 R which was commanding over $1 million in the used car market at the time. You can imagine the outcry, then, when it was announced that the track-focused GT3 RS would only be offered with a PDK transmission. Porsche argues that customers who buy a GT3 RS prefer the precision of a PDK transmission to set faster lap times.

However, some hardcore enthusiasts will say you can’t beat the satisfaction of thrashing a Porsche around a track with a manual setup. One disgruntled GT3 RS owner decided to take matters into his own hands and fit the track-focused sports car with a manual transmission. As a result, what you’re looking at here is the world’s first manual 991-generation Porsche GT3 RS. Rob Janev, the man behind the project, had only clocked up 900 miles in his GT3 RS before he decided to swap the PDK transmission with a manual. Enlisting the help of Florida-based tuner BGB Motorsports, the PDK was swapped with a six-speed manual from a 911 R sourced from a local dealership.

Speaking to Road and Track, BGB Motorsports boss John Tecce confirmed that the gearbox cost $22,000 and $45,000 to fit it. The transmission fits into the GT3 RS relatively easily, but the hardest part is getting the hardware and software to work correctly. Tecce said the GT3 RS “basically thinks it’s a 911 R” because the source coding had to be imported from an R. This means the rev matching works as it should, as does the gear indicator in the tachometer. Traction control and rear wheel steering uses the programming of the GT3 RS, however.
Janev has been documenting the progress of the project on Rennlist which is nearing completion, and has gained the support of Porsche enthusiasts.

“I don’t like that Porsche took the manual option away from us GT car owners only to put it back into a limited numbered car and play games with allocations,” he said, referring to the 911 R which sold out almost immediately after it was announced. $45,000 may sound like a lot for a manual transmission swap, but the 911 R typically sells for double the price of a PDK-equipped GT3 RS which makes this look like a bargain.

Polestar XC60 T8 Most Powerful Road-Going Volvo Ever

Polestar is proving itself a force to be reckoned with.
Volvo has a reputation for safety and reliability, but tuning company Polestar has been transforming its sedate sedans and SUVs into savage performance machines. Now officially part of Volvo with plans to produce its own-branded electric cars, Polestar has proven itself a force to be reckoned with alongside Audi, BMW and Mercedes’ performance divisions. This time, Polestar has turned its attention to the Volvo XC60, giving the family SUV a performance upgrade and numerous optimizations that make it more desirable to drive.
Polestar XC60 T8 Most Powerful Road-Going Volvo Ever
The upgrade bumps up the top spec XC60 T8 hybrid to 421 hp. That may sound like a modest increase since the standard XC60 T8 already produces 407 hp, but it’s enough to make the Polestar XC60 T8 the most powerful road-going Volvo ever alongside the optimized XC90 which has the same powertrain. No sprint time was provided, but for reference the standard XC60 T8 takes 5.1 seconds to reach 62 mph from a standstill. Polestar has improved the throttle response both on and off, and the gearbox shifts faster. The engine enhancements are designed to provide more power and torque in the mid-range of the engine, which is the area most often used in everyday driving.
Polestar XC60 T8 Most Powerful Road-Going Volvo Ever
To utilize the improved mid-engine performance, the gear shift points have been recalibrated, and there’s a new gear-hold function that holds the gear you’re in “when cornering with high lateral g-force” to keep the SUV settled. ”Our goal is to create usable performance in everyday driving situations for Volvo owners who want an enhanced driving experience,” Henrik Fries, Vice President of R&D at Polestar, described the idea behind the XC60 by Polestar. “The new XC60 has provided us with an excellent base to work on with a dynamic chassis and a state of the art powertrain. With the Polestar optimization, it makes the new Volvo XC60 a true drivers’ car.”

This Lamborghini Gallardo Has Bugatti Power For Porsche 911 Turbo Money

Of course you want it. Fortunately it's for sale.
Chances are you’ve seen this particular Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera before (or one very similar). It’s not a stock 2008 Gallardo Superleggera and that’s just fine. Thanks to Dallas Performance, it’s been upgraded to 1,800 hp, and it’s for sale for right now with an asking price of $229,995. Like the title clearly states, that’s Bugatti power for Porsche 911 Turbo money. Oh, and it has a six-speed manual. The performance upgrades come courtesy of a Dallas Performance Race Spec 2 twin-turbo system bolted to the 5.0-liter V10.

Essentially, the entire guts of the Gallardo have been thoroughly reworked and upgraded. Aside from the custom one-off Elite Camo wrap job, the Gallardo came from the Lamborghini in Arancio Borealis (orange) over Nero Alcantara. Dallas Performance, based in Dallas, Texas (where else?) claims this is the fastest twin turbo Gallardo in existence. We believe them. The gearing, for example, was originally setup for the Texas mile/standing mile (meaning for over 280 mph) but it’s since received a shorter gear set to make it easier for regular driving (it’s still geared for 240 mph, fortunately).
The V10, interestingly, is actually a brand new factory unit recently purchased and installed, meaning it’s only been driven 5,000 miles. More than $375,000 in upgrades has reportedly been invested here, and yet it can all be yours for $230k. That’s a bargain that’ll allow you to confidently challenge Chiron and 911 Turbo S owners. Mulgari Gives The McLaren 12C A New Lease Of Life

Subtle upgrades combine with dramatic effect.
Ever since the McLaren 12C stepped foot onto the supercar world stage, tuning houses from across the globe have created aftermarket packages for the British-built brute. With McLaren’s line up now standing at over a dozen models, there’s plenty for tuners to choose from, yet Mulgari Automotive has just spent the past eight months creating a new look for the 12C. The British tuning house, based in Berkshire, UK, is now offering something it calls “Signature Vehicles,” a new customization program that’s being launched with the 12C.

The bespoke 12C has been dubbed “Project Twelve” and includes a range of subtle upgrades to give the car a unique flavor without being overly brash. A new body kit includes revised front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and a carbon-fiber rear diffuser. The most obvious change is at the rear where a quad exhaust system, inspired by the McLaren F1 and created by Fabspeed USA, has been mounted. New alloys were sourced from Vossen, while the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 has been meddled with, reworking the ventilation system and on-board electronics, to eke out an extra 40 horses, taking output to 640 horsepower. Carbon-fiber bucket seats complete with Mulgari logos are the biggest changes to the 12C’s cabin.

This Customized Porsche 911 Won’t Please Purists

It's only the second car to receive the RWB tuning treatment in the US.
It isn’t unusual to see rare air-cooled Porsche 911s sell for extortionate amounts of money at auctions, but this example is more unusual than most. That’s because this 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Targa has been extensively modified by Japanese aftermarket tuner RAUH-Welt Begriff. This particular model is only the second car to receive RWB’s tuning treatment in the US, and it’s probably safe to say that the extravagant exterior won’t please purists.

A widebody kit gives it a more menacing presence, as do the racing-style air flicks on the front and gaping wheel arches. Fitted with a five-speed gearbox and rear-wheel drive, it also has a Stage 2 Hakama aftermarket kit with V3 coilover suspension, and 18-inch Floss Designs alloys in a brushed bronze finish. The interior is mostly unchanged, but it has been modernized with a custom sound system featuring a touchscreen and backup camera to make the sports car appear ahead of its time since such features weren’t offered by Porsche in 1991. RM Sotheby's estimates that this polarizing Porsche will sell between $95,000 and $105,000 when it goes under the hammer in Santa Monica.
