That's why this CX-5 SUV drew our attention in the first place, because there's probably not another one like it anywhere else in the world. It rides so low on such large wheels that most people will look at these photos and think it's a hatchback. Only when they see it side by side with the large Mazda6 sedan will they realize it's actually an SUV.
The golden alloys are the VFS2 design with a 20-spoke design from Vossen and their color compliments the dark bodywork. Of course, air suspension has also been added in order to bring the SUV lower to the ground without compromising the ride.
There are a few other tweaks made to the front and rear skirts, as well as inserts for the lower part of the doors, but the CX-5 is largely stock.
These shots of the car were taken by a team of Vossen photographers who traveled to the 2015 Modera Japan Owners's Meet, held somewhere near mount Fuji. The turn-up was huge and included all sorts of Nissans, Hondas and some European cars, mostly Audis, BMWs and Mercs. People even had Vossen bikes and haircuts.
