Along with the BMW i8, Manhart Racing also brings a modified BMW M235i to the 2014 Essen Motor Show.
Dubbed MH2 400 WB, the wide body high-performance 2 Series Coupe makes the M235i look closer to what the BMW M2 would look like. The car is now 12 cm wider than the stock model and clearly stockier.
The MH2 400 WB employs a similar paint job as the i8, a dark base
color with yellow accents, giving the car an even more aggressive and
flashy look.
The wheel arches are filled with 20 inch wheels covered with 255 and 295 mm wide tires. A 3-way adjustable KW Clubsport coilover was installed, lowering the car by 45 mm in the front and 40 mm in the rear.
Manhart engineers have also worked their
magic under the hood, therefore, the 3.0 liter six-cylinder TwinPower
engine now delivers 430 hp and 592 Nm of torque. It reaches a top speed
of 320 km/h. A “Stage 1″ with “only” 390 hp kit is offered as well.
To stop all that power, a larger braking system was installed.
Inside Manhart has also “cleaned up” the rear seats so the car is not lighter. The front seats have been replaced by the
Recaro bucket sport seats that come with brackets and a 4-point harness
system. Other goodies that can report additional display information
can be ordered inside.

Mode Carbon Reveals BMW F8X Front Splitter
Joining a long line of aftermarket
companies, Mode Carbon is releasing their own lineup of high-quality
aftermarket parts for the BMW M3 and M4. Designed with daily use in
mind, their carbon fiber splitter flows well with the OEM bumper and
looks quite attractive on this Yas Marina Metallic exterior finish.
“The splitter channels airflow to crucial areas on the car, but has yet to be tested in the wind tunnel, so Mode Carbon is not yet sure if it is capable of producing functional downforce,” says the company.
The splitter is called Trophy S1 and by design, it nis icely tucked in providing a visual improvement without impairing the ground clearance too much.
Judging by the latest tuning projects, the market for the new M3 and M4 aero parts is starting to take off, and more and more companies are building their own aero dynamic solutions.

BMW 135i On Vossen CVT Wheels
For a car that’s been a fan darling ever since it was introduced, the BMW 135i has certainly aged reasonably well. Often scrutinize, the E87 1 Series has been seen its fair share of battles over the design and proportions. But the 135i Coupe found a home in the heart of the enthusiasts, and to this date it has been one of the most fun to drive BMWs.
Despite aging well, certain telltale signs of old age are starting to show. So in order to improve its looks a bit, some owners decided to rely on aftermarket modifications. Just as seen on this project.
For the most part, this car certainly doesn’t need a lot to be brought back to relevance. With a set of appropriately chosen aftermarket wheels, the job is half way done. The owner of this 135i Coupe decided to fit his car with a set of Vossen CVT wheels.
A true rarity in the industry due to its intricate construction, investment and overall development, the Vossen CVT is a considerable step forward in Vossen’s already interesting line-up. The brand new approach results in a directional wheel design. The right and left wheel sets are directional in different paths, creating the need for a cast mold for each of the wheels. As a result, the wheels on the driver and passenger side of the vehicle twist towards the same direction.
Vossen Wheels did a photoshoot showcasing this BMW 135i with their CVT wheels installed. The photoshoot perfectly showcases the directional wheel design and fitment on this vehicle, and you can take a detailed look on these right below in the gallery we’ve added.
Alpine White BMW F10 M5 With MORR Wheels
Alpine White paint job is back once again. The classy color is now featured on an F10 BMW M5 which also comes with some aftermarket parts to make the super sedan stand out even more.
This Alpine White BMW F10 M5 comes equipped with a set of MORR wheels. Installed in 21 inches combined with a lowering kit, the custom wheels give the car an unique look. The F10 M5 has always been praised for its aggressive appearance and overall sporty style, while not overlooking the DNA of an elegant midsize limousine.
According to Adrian van Hooydonk, “BMW design has a tendency to periodically muscle in with big, bold, design statements – to knock down walls – and in the follow-up model, its stylists can move about a bit more in the clean air made possible by its predecessor.”
While not using the same revolutionary approach as his predecessor – Chris Bangle – Van Hooydonk gave the F10 M5 a timeless design that will stand the test of time.
Chris Bangle once said it was necessary for product lines to follow a cycle of a revolutionary generation followed by an evolutionary model, so we expect the next generation M5 to be one of a kind.
The photoshoot seen here manages to outline the design of the F10 M5 from all angles, so click through below for some cool photography.

B&B Automobiltechnik gives the new Audi TT More Dynamics
Having some fun with the newest TT.
B&B Automobiltechnik already has a head start on their competition when it comes to the new, third-generation Audi TT (8S). The quick and nimble sports car might be just hitting the pavement but they already have three stages of tuning for the TT and they promise to serve up a lot of fun.
Starting things off is the Stage 1K (Comfort) package that costs 1,198 Euros. The package includes a slight tune to increase the boost pressure as well as the fuel injection parameters for a total of 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft. of torque from the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four. The Stage 1S (Sport) for 1,698 Euros includes the aforementioned upgrades and optimized air intake paths for a total of 310 horsepower and 321 lb-ft. of torque.
Stepping things up a notch is the B&B Automobiltechnik Stage 2 program for the Audi TT. The 3,950-Euro package includes a larger diameter, optimized cross-section exhaust tube and sport catalytic converters along with an increase in boost pressure by about 3.6 PSI (.25 BAR) and optimized fuel injection for a total of 326 horsepower and 332 lb-ft. of torque.
The top dog in the Audi TT tuning program from B&B Automobiltechnik is the 9,950-Euro Stage 3 package. Here, the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine is fitted with a new turbocharger and intercooler, larger air intake system, sports exhaust system with pre-tube and racing catalytic converter, along with an ECU tune to accommodate for the new hardware. This results in a total of 360 horsepower and 369 lb-ft. of torque. In this form, the TT is capable of accelerating to 62 mph in 4.8 seconds, 124 mph in 17.4 seconds, and to a top speed of 171.5 mph.
But the Audi TT performance upgrades from B&B Automobiltechnik didn’t stop there. The team also whipped up some upgrades to make the chassis even more nimble. A basic set of sport springs helps to reduce the ride height by 30- and 25 mm at the front and rear, respectively, while a more dynamic adjustable threaded suspension gives drivers more control through the corners. New front and rear stabilizer bars can also be added to reduce any body roll. New lightweight 10.0 x 20 wheels help to add more presence and wear 265/30 R20 tires for added grip. The final option for the Audi TT’s chassis comes in the form of a six- or four-piston high-performance braking system that helps bring the sports car to a halt quicker than the stock models.
B&B Automobiltechnik also offers a range of other upgrades individually, ranging from an oil cooling system to exhausts for added performance and reliability. The entire list of upgrades are available from the German company for the third-generation Audi TT (8S) currently.

Official: 2015 Audi TT by ABT Sportsline
ABT Sportsline has just unveiled its modified 2015 Audi TT at the Essen Motor Show 2014. The car is based around the mid-range Audi TT fitted with the 2.0-litre TFSI engine and has received a selection of performance and visual modifications.
Beneath the skin, the mid-range Audi TT typically produces 220 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to some tuning however, ABT Sportsline has managed to increase that up to 310 hp and 324 lb-ft of torque. While performance details haven’t been revealed, the ABT Audi TT should be slightly quicker off the line than the serial Audi TTS with its 292 hp, 2.0-litre TFSI engine.
Beyond the engine upgrades, a large selection of visual and aerodynamic modifications have been performed. First and foremost, the car has been fitted with a brand new bodykit. The kit includes an exceptionally aggressive front bumper with menacing red air intake surrounds as well as a lower splitter finished in grey.
Additionally, the Audi single frame grille features a red surround. Elsewhere, ABT has installed new side skirts alongside a set of gloss black wheels with a red outer rim. At the rear, a spoiler has been added alongside an eye-catching diffuser and quad exhaust pipe setup.
Choco Gold Rolls-Royce Wraith by MS Motors
The crews at MS Motors and Revo Motorsport recently wrapped up work modifying a Rolls-Royce Wraith to the point that it would be identifiable from a mile away.
First of all, this Rolls-Royce Wraith has been finished in a unique two-tone colour scheme dubbed Choco Gold. It combines a brown/bronze finish across the lower body panels and then matte gold across the bonnet, roof and rear decklid.
Completing the upgrades are a set of lightweight Vellano VM28 Monoblock wheels.
